Finally i have time to re-look at my blog today. Phew... its been over 3 weeks since i last posted an update. Well, my excuse is.... its been a real heck of a 3 week i must say! :) Firstly, i was away to Guangzhou, China for a week (7th to 11th) with my wife to hunt for furniture's for our new home. Why China?? Well, there is this town in Guangzhou, which is called Shunde, who housethe largest furniture malls or exhibition centre they call it, in the world!! Yes, largest in the world!! Can you believe that??? I don't exactly know how big it is but i was told there are some 10km worth of shops on both side of the road that sells anything related to the word "Home + Furnitures"...... i ain't kidding here..... Its true and you can ask around to verify that. We only managed to cover 2 of the exhibition centre for the 2 days we spend there. This 2 are one of the best for home furniture's and outdoor furniture's as well. Its not our first trip to this area as we did similiar hunt 2 yrs ago for our current house. Don't be misunderstand that all products from china are not good. They do make some decent quality and nice furniture's though. And most probably some of the furniture's you are having at home are made in China as well. A lot of our local furniture brand's have their range made from China. They just re-label it. Reason is simple, lower cost! Yes, the cost is indeed lower compare if you buy in Msia... somewhere around 50% lower in average!! Apple to apple comparison..... Initially, we wanted our new home furniture to be bought locally but those that we set our eyes on are just to "dear" for me to afford. I cant afford or cannot imagine myself buying a set of sofa for the cost of a Myvi..... Its just ridiculous for me but i am sure someone can afford it in KL. Go and have a look at those sofas in "SPACE" along Bangsar..... Crazy price tag... whatever has a tag "Made in Italy" will cost you a car... unbelievable!!
Well, we managed to get what we wanted and all of them will be on the way here coming Aug.... Unfortunately, for some reasons, the pics of those stuff we bought just vanished from my Lightroom. However, you can review them from my wife's blog though. She managed to upload it before it vanished.

Besides hunting for furniture's, Joy managed to meet up with her friends from Spore in Guangzhou on the last night of our trip. We did some shopping together and i also met up with my colleagues (Jackie & Wilson) as well. Jackie bought all of us to hunt for some good tea and tea set which i got hook during the trip. The southern chinese, like the Hongkies, loves "Kung Fu" tea. We practically had "Kung Fu" tea + dinsum every morning and i got a hang of it during the trip. Well, we ended up buying quite a bit and we also ended up over weight for our luggage. But we do enjoy our trip tough. Mission accomplished.....
